Keira Maguire became one of the most infamous names in Australian reality TV following her star-making turn on The Bachelor in 2016.
The former account manager stole the show as the season’s breakout villain, before going on to appear on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise.
She also paved the way for countless Bachelor contestants by becoming one of the first to turn her reality TV stint into a lucrative career as a social media influencer.
But despite her success, Keira has become a cautionary tale on the perils of fame as she faces court on assault charges after an alleged altercation inside a swanky bar in Melbourne’s South Yarra.
The 37-year-old has been ordered to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on August 3.
Former Bachelor contestant Keira Maguire is facing catastrophe in her personal life and career following a string of disastrous events
Keira has become a cautionary tale on the perils of fame as she faces court on assault charges after an alleged altercation inside a swanky bar in Melbourne’s South Yarra
She was reported to have been allegedly involved in an altercation in March that saw a drink get thrown over a customer at The Osborne Rooftop and Bar in South Yarra, Melbourne.
Anna McEvoy, a former Love Island contestant, said on her podcast Where’s Your Head At? that she witnessed the aftermath of the alleged altercation.
The legal woes are just the latest catastrophe for Maguire, following string of failed romantic relationships, a failed skincare business, and tens of thousands of dollars in plastic surgery expenses.
After being dumped by Richie Strahan on The Bachelor, Keira found love with Bachelorette runner-up Jarrod Woodgate on the first season of Bachelor In Paradise in 2017.

The former couple enjoyed a whirlwind romance, sparking engagement rumours and lucrative endorsement deals.
However, they called it quits a year later after winery manager Woodgate grew tired of Maguire’s job as an influencer.
‘Jarrod didn’t like the fact I didn’t have a full-time job… because my job was doing endorsements and he’s about working hard in a nine-to-five job,’ she told Who magazine in 2018.
‘He would make me feel bad about my lifestyle,’ she continued, adding that she made more money than her beau.
At the height of her fame, Keira was invited to red carpet events like the Logie Awards
Jarrod later told Who Magazine that Keira was ‘obsessed’ with Instagram and social media.
‘Her Instagram following is overwhelming and it was taking over our relationship. She’s purely Instagram focused, and that takes up a lot of time,’ he admitted.
‘For me, it wasn’t a genuine connection because everything we did went through Instagram, and I’m a farm guy who hardly touches his phone.’
Keira spent the new few years being unlucky in love, before eventually returning to reality TV for the third season of Bachelor In Paradise.

Keira and Jarrod later split, with the winery manager claiming that Keira was ‘obsessed’ with Instagram
Unfortunately, her advances were rebuffed by the male suitors on the show, and Keira ended up quitting halfway through the season to avoid being dumped at a rose ceremony.
After receiving backlash from viewers, Keira slammed the show’s editing and said producers had ‘gone too far’.
‘I don’t really agree with the ethical side of it. Ultimately, I didn’t necessarily like the experience. I also didn’t like how they edited me,’ she said.
The outspoken influencer got her revenge on the Channel 10 franchise by dating Matthew Zukowski, from Channel 9’s rival dating series Love Island Australia.

Keira and Matt later split and The Bachelor villain then accused her former beau of faking a relationship with Love Island’s Anna McEvoy for publicity
She debuted her romance with the wrestler, who was nine years her junior, before her season of Paradise had even aired, spoiling the show for viewers.
Matt and Keira flaunted their relationship on social media before abruptly splitting, with Keira claiming that the reason for their breakup was that she was simply ‘too busy with work’.
She later accused Zukowski of ‘faking’ a relationship with Love Island star Anna McEvoy to promote their podcast, Where’s Your Head At?, which had just launched at the time.
‘They aren’t dating. They are pretending to be together as they want to get exposure for some podcast they are doing,’ she told Daily Mail Australia at the time.
‘I had to block them both on socials as it was really hurtful to watch,’ she continued.
‘I guess people will do anything to get exposure, even if it hurts the people they are suppose to care about.’
Keira has spent more than $35,000 transforming her appearance over the years with various plastic and cosmetic surgery procedures

After another heartache, Keira threw herself back into work and launched her own skincare business called Skyn Collective.
Unfortunately, the business seems to have fallen through, with the website no longer active while the brand’s Instagram page hasn’t posted anything since November last year.
She’s also started losing followers on Instagram, dropping from the 175,000 followers she had during her relationship with Woodgate to 134,000 – a number that continues to decline.

The influencer has undergone a nose job and breast enlargement, in addition to having dental work such as porcelain veneers and getting injectables like Botox and filler.
The controversial reality star previously told NW she ‘always wanted to be perfect’.
The influencer also suffered another setback when her skincare business failed to take off

She had wanted to get plastic surgery for more than 10 years, but was motivated to finally go under the knife after watching herself on television.
‘The first night I watched [The Bachelor] I was sitting there like, “Ew, this is f****d.” My nose is just so bad on camera,’ she said.
This led to the socialite going under the knife for a rhinoplasty in 2017.
Keira got a boob job the following year, taking her A-cup breasts up to a more sizable C-cup.
The former reality TV A-lister will face court in August over an alleged drunken altercation
In 2018, she had lip filler before shooting the first season of Bachelor in Paradise, but ended up regretting her ‘trout pout’ and had the filler dissolved after filming.
Meanwhile, the former star has just been ordered to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on August 3.

Anna McEvoy, a former Love Island contestant, said on her podcast Where’s Your Head At? that she witnessed the aftermath of the alleged altercation.
‘I didn’t see it happen but I was very much there, I saw the aftermath and I was in shock,’ she said.
