When it comes to fashion, we are all inspired by what we see; whether it be a well-dressed celebrity, a blow-your-mind catwalk presentation or even a super stylish every-day passerby.
As fashion editors, we’re moved by all of the above, and then some. We’re exposed to under-the-radar labels; we get a first-hand look at collections months before they hit stores; we’re tapped into brands with chic-yet-cheap offerings and we shop – a lot.
To share our knowledge, FEMAIL brings you Style Swoon, a weekly series of the latest, greatest and on the verge. We hope this Friday series will serve as a buying guide and point of inspiration for the clotheshorses and fashion fanatics alike.
MONEY MOVES
Making money moves: After much speculation, Footwear News confirmed today that a collaboration between hip hop recording artists Cardi B and contemporary shoe designer Steve Madden may be in the works
After much speculation, Footwear News confirmed today that a collaboration between hip hop recording artist Cardi B and contemporary shoe designer Steve Madden may be in the works.
‘We like Cardi — she’s great. We’re talking to Cardi — we’re talking to some other people, too, but we like Cardi a lot,” Madden told the magazine.
It wouldn’t be the first time the shoe giant has partnered with a musician, they designed lines with both Ja Rule and Iggy Azalea.
‘The thing about Cardi that’s interesting is that she’s kind of like an entrepreneur and I admire what’s she’s done. I don’t know yet if [the deal] is going to happen but we’re friends.’
While the Bronx-born rapper sings about her red bottom Christian Louboutin’s in her hit song ‘Bodak Yellow,’ this potential collaboration is music to our ears.
