The golden couple! Hunter Woodhall celebrates wildly with wife Tara after his Paralympic win… a week after she also won a gold medal in Paris

Like husband, like wife! The mirror celebratory images in Paris became complete as Hunter Woodhall won the 400-meter dash at the Paralympics, echoing Tara Davis-Woodhall’s gold medal in the long jump at the Olympics last month.

The non-competitor among the married couple were situated in near-identical positions in the Stade de France, watching their spouse compete.

After either athlete had achieved their winning feat, a sprint over to the first row of seating to find their favorite person occurred.

A massive long hug between the couple, each taking a turn as main support system and overjoyed Team USA representative, has occurred twice over the last month.

David-Woodhall won the women’s long jump with a best of 7.10 meters on Aug. 8, while her husband won the 400- meter dash on Friday in 46.36 seconds.

Woodhall is now a five-time Paralympic medalist, having already won a bronze medal in Paris as part of the mixed 4×100 meter relay.

The 400-meter dash is Woodhall’s first gold medal, having won a silver and a bronze medal in Rio eight years ago and adding a bronze in Tokyo.

Davis-Woodhall’s triumph in the long jump represents her only Olympic medal, having finished sixth in the event in Tokyo.

The pair met at a track meet in high school and competed for a trio of Southeastern Conference track programs before going pro: Arkansas, Texas, and Georgia.

They got married in Oct. 2022 and have been pursuing their Parisian Olympic dreams since.

Now, the couple gets some time to relax before setting their long-term sights on the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics in Los Angeles.
