Prized race horse Winx has broken the record for most consecutive wins by an Australian mare in spectacular fashion after securing a 23 straight win and 16th Group 1 win.
Nearer the back of the pack at Randwick Racecourse coming into the final bend and home straight, Winx turned on the power to finish seven lengths ahead of the pack in a history making finish.
Chris Waller’s wonder mare has not been beaten since the Autumn of 2015 and has won three Cox Plates during the historic run of wins.
