The Hills star Heidi Montag hits the recording studio with Brooke Candy as she plots music comeback: ‘We gave the gays what they want!’

Heidi Montag is ready to make a comeback to the music industry almost fifteen years after the release of her first album, Superficial.

On Thursday, the 37-year-old filmed herself in the recording studio with electropop artist Brooke Candy.

The Hills alum explained on Snapchat that she was in the studio to record something for Candy’s upcoming album.

After getting out the booth, a giddy Heidi exclaimed, ‘It’s a hit! Congrats everyone, we did so good.’

Brooke then gushed, ‘You sound amazing. This is a hit. We gave the gays what they want.’

The Los Angeles-based singer later shared a photo of herself posing with Heidi to X and captioned it, ‘Studio day with the queen @heidimontag.’

Heidi announced her return to the music scene back in January.

‘I am so excited to be back in the studio. Thank you to all my amazing fans for making Superficial such an international viral hit!’ she wrote at the time.

She added, ‘So excited for the next chapter of music.

The reality star’s pop comeback was spurred by the viral success of her track I’ll Do It, which hit two billion views on TikTok and China’s Douyin.

Heidi and husband Spencer Pratt famously spent almost $2million on Heidi’s debut album Superficial back in 2010 – only for it to flop on the charts.

‘It was just a really hard and harsh ending of a lot of things at the time. When Superficial didn’t hit the charts like I thought it was going to…. At that moment, it was just overshadowed by so many things,’ she told Paper magazine in December.

‘As the years went on, I’m like man, the album was just so good. If it was anyone else, it would have just been a number one hit,’ she continued.

‘We spent all of our money, and our time, and energy, and it was my biggest dream, so to have it come forward so many years later is actually even more rewarding,’ she continued.

To keep fans excited before her official return to music, Heidi has been releasing remixes of her classic Superficial tracks as well as putting out old unreleased songs from the vault.

Her latest hit, Touch Me, recently reached the top 10 of the UK pop club charts thanks to a remix by Dave Aude.
