The humiliating moment the MAFS stars are IGNORED at the Logies

They were among the lucky few Married At First Sight stars selected to attend the prestigious Logie Awards this year.

But Elizabeth Sobinoff and Martha Kalifatidis may have regretted ever accepting the invitation in the first place, after being embarrassingly shunned at the Gold Coast ceremony on Sunday.

By the time the pair hit the red carpet to pose for photos, members of the media started packing up and leaving, seemingly disinterested in the reality TV has-beens. 

‘Most of the media started getting their stuff together and leaving once the MAFS stars hit the red carpet,’ a source at the show told Daily Mail Australia.

Outside of Elizabeth and Martha, Cameron Merchant, Jules Robinson, Heidi Latcham, Nic Jovanovic and Mike Gunner were also invited.

Where is everybody? Most of the media appeared to have left as Elizabeth posed for a lonely photographer 

However, their invitation came with a humiliating catch – the cast were not permitted to watch the Logies with the rest of the celebrity guests.

Instead, they were banished to backroom bar and dining room inside the The Star Casino, where they watched the awards show unfold on television. 

In a video taken inside, Martha can be heard urging boyfriend Michael to down a frothy beer at the bar with Nic.

‘Scull it, babe!’ she shrieked excitedly. ‘Aw, ya left some!’

Meanwhile, over in Brisbane, Jessika Power and Ines Basic were also drinking up a storm inside a local bar. 

While the MAFS villains were surprisingly not invited to the ceremony, Jessika told Daily Mail Australia that she was unbothered by the snub.

‘Of course we would’ve attended if they’d asked, but they wanted to play it safe by inviting all the boring MAFS people,’ she said.

‘Anyway, Cheryl [Maitland] told me that at last year’s Logies all the MAFS stars had to watch the show on a TV in a room out the back… frankly I’d rather be here at the bar!’

The pair later shared videos of themselves drinking shots, cocktails, and twerking up a storm.
