The Logies ceremony wins solid ratings for Channel Nine

The Logies ceremony wins solid ratings for Channel Nine – but still falls short of earlier viewership highs

The Logies are back, and almost better than ever.

After a two year break due to Covid lockdowns, the glitz and the glamour was in full swing on Sunday night.

Channel Nine scored solid ratings for both the televised red carpet arrivals and the ceremony.

The 62nd TV Week Logies Awards Arrivals pulled in 826,000 viewers across the five city metro ratings.

It was another bump up for The 62nd TV Week Logies Awards, which attracted a healthy 885,000 viewers across the five city metro tally.

Overall, the Logies coverage came in third for the night, after Channel Seven’s and Channel Nine’s nightly new for the evening.

While the figures were good, the Logies drew less eyeballs than it has in previous years.

A whopping 1.18 million viewers across the country watched the event in 2019, which was up from the year prior.

In 2018, a comfortable 1.15 million switched the Logies on.

However, it was all downhill from 2017’s numbers when 1.30 million punters watched the awards.

This year’s show came in at a hefty four hours, and ran 38 minutes overtime on Channel Nine.

Comedian Hamish Blake won the Gold Logies, his second after a previous win back in 2012.
