The luckiest postcodes for lotto prize money – ahead of Powerball’s record $110million draw

Australia’s luckiest postcodes when it comes to winning the biggest lottery prizes are all near the beach.

That prize, won by a healthcare worker in her forties, dwarfed the previous $70million record set in January 2016 when grandparents from Hervey Bay, in the 4655 postcode north of Brisbane, won the Powerball jackpot.

Some suburbs are also luckier when it comes to more modest division one lottery prizes during the past year.
