America’s most majestic mullets proved they are a cut above in this year’s annual USA Mullet Championships.
The notorious ‘business at the front, party at the back’ hairstyle from the 80s is celebrated each year by the competition, with fans being invited to choose their favourite mullet while raising money for US military veterans.
Contestants proudly showcased their lovingly nicknamed mullets as they competed in three categories this year – Kids, Teens and the coveted Mane Event.
The finalists in each category battled it out for votes over the past few weeks, many proudly sporting wraparound shades and the Stars and Stripes as they showed off their throwback hairstyles.
The winners in each of the three USA Mullet Championships were officially announced today.

They were decided by a combination of online voting by the public, charity donations made in their name by supporters and points awarded by a panel of expert judges.
All donations made by mullet fans in support of their favourite mullets are going to ex-NFL star Jared Allen’s Homes For Wounded Warriors to help US military veterans.
Mane Event winner Todd Grubb and his mullet nicknamed ‘Flow Motion’ scooped the big prize by denying a three-peat for the reigning champion and two-time winner Scott Salvadore and his ‘The Lord’s Drapes’ mullet.
Third place went to Holden Stevenus and his mullet nicknamed ‘Rebellious Ruffles’.
The trio faced tough competition from a host of magnificent mullets, with Mane Event finalists featuring contenders with nicknames like ‘The Walmart Wolverine’, ‘The Florida Free Bird’ and ‘Le Baron Des Muléts’.
Todd, 59, of Galesburg, Michigan, repeated his success in last year’s 55+ Championship on an even bigger stage.
He began cultivating his mullet nicknamed ‘Flow Motion’ four years ago, when he decided to stop cutting his hair during COVID.
In his entry for the contest, Todd paid tribute to his barber, saying: ‘I’ve had a couple awesome people cutting my hair but I owe it all to the Hair Maestro at George Salon in Portage, Michigan!’

Todd will receive a $5,000 cash prize, a Mullet Championship belt and a GoPro Hero12 Black Action Camera.
He will be donating his prize money to Jared Allen’s Homes For Wounded Warriors.
Six-year-old Kamden Cunningham was declared 2024 Kids Mullet Champion with his mullet nicknamed ‘The Kammander’, which he defiantly grew after his long hair was cut off by his older brother Karson with a pair of nose hair trimming scissors.
Kamden, of Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, revealed the dramatic story behind his mullet in his entry for the contest.
His entry reads: ‘I always sported some gorgeous ringlet curls, all natural. On more humid days, I had a pretty rad afro.
‘One day my older brother decided that he didn’t want me to have long hair anymore, so he found some nose hair trimming scissors in the bathroom and took it upon himself to chop away.
‘My mom cried at the chunk of curls she found upstairs, but we could no longer leave my hair the way Karson ‘styled’ it.

‘I wanted to leave my hair long, so we scoured the internet for some styling options and I chose a photo where the hairstyle was indeed a mullet. Thus, the Kammander was born.’
Second place went to Brody Byrne, seven, of South Boston, Massachusetts and his mullet nicknamed ‘Hair 2 Party’.
Three-year-old Killian Depew of Avoca, Philadelphia, finished third with his mullet nicknamed ‘Killi Ray Cyrus’ in tribute to mullet legend Billy Ray Cyrus.
The trio faced tough competition from a host of magnificent mullets, with the Kids Division finalists featuring contenders with nicknames like ‘Lightning and The Thunda’, ‘The Green Mountain Monster’ and ‘School in the Front, Detention in the Back’.
Some of the hopefuls – who are all aged up to 12 years – have been growing mullets all their young lives, with several toddlers among the finalists.
Winner Kamden will also receive a $5,000 cash prize, a Mullet Championship belt and a GoPro Hero12 Black Action Camera.,
