The show’s judges Mel B, Abbie Chatfield, Dave Hughes and Chrissie Swan were shocked when Dave, who usually gets it wrong, actually guessed right.
‘I’m so happy! I kept saying, “You know, if you don’t get it, it’s fine,”‘ Melody, 37, said after taking off the mask.
Melody went on the reveal that performing on The Masked Singer helped her in unexpected ways.
‘It brought me closer to myself, as weird as that sounds,’ she said holding back tears.

The American pop star added that the show had brought her a surprising amount of confidence.
‘I wanted to know if some of the things I was telling myself were true. Because people are voting for you, they don’t know it’s you, you know? Like, when you’re hard on yourself, maybe that’s not right.’
Earlier, Snapdragon, who came in runner up, was unmasked, with the celebrity inside the mask revealed to be The Voice star Sheldon Riley, 23.

I walked away with really good feedback. Like, I was like, “This really helped my relationship with myself.” It brought me closer to myself, as weird as that sounds’ she said
‘It’s been a really long road for me,’ Sheldon said of his career and gaining faith in himself.
‘I mean, I’ve done the mask for ages. I was diagnosed with Asperger’s as a kid, so people always worried about me. “Is he gonna be able to speak? Is he gonna be able to execute himself as a normal human being? Is he gonna find love?”
‘And it was something I never wanted to blame on what was going on mentally, so I started blaming what was happening physically, for a really long time.

‘Just not loving myself for a very long time. It wasn’t until these shows that I realised that I need to be so proud of my talent’ he added.
Judge Chrissie was touched, telling the young singer: ‘Sheldon, I very openly fell in love with you, and your enormous gift, and I’m so thrilled that it seems like this crazy show has really made you aware of your extraordinary gift.
‘And you are different, and that’s nothing to hide’ she concluded.

Coming in third place was Rooster, who was unveiled to be singer and performer Hugh Sheridan, 37.
Hugh admitted that he struggled inside the costume and almost quit.
‘When I first came out in this costume, I was having panic attacks’ he admitted to host Osher Gunsberg.
‘I didn’t know how claustrophobic I actually am. I didn’t think I was going to last a week, and then I crossed a line with the Rooster and I just said, “Take me”‘.
