Controversial comedian Andy Dick was attacked outside a bar in New Orleans after a performance in the French quarter.
CCTV footage appears to show the moment the comedian was knocked out cold in an allegedly ‘unprovoked’ attack in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The clip shows a man clad in dark clothing approach Dick while he is outside the bar and punch him.

Dick falls to the ground and the man walks away – but not before picking up his bottle.
According to the New Orleans Police Department the incident happened just before 2:30 am on Saturday and Dick had been leaving the bar following a performance.
Dick’s tour manager Robert Couvillion told New Orleans’ Fox 8 Dick had been seriously injured.

‘We thought he was dead. Then, when he did get up, he thought he was in LA. He was unresponsive, his eyes were swimming in his head and it was really bad,’ Couvillion said.
Dick, 53, had just finished performing alongside guitarist Paris Dylan at One Eyed Jacks nightclub when he was knocked to the ground by a punch from his attacker. The comedian and musician said he was unconscious for 15 minutes after the assault.
Dick said he was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
He said while at the hospital, he was observed there for what he described as a ‘possible brain bleed’.
Dylan, who witnessed the attack, told The Times-Picayune that he and Dick met with fans following the show before heading outside where another crowd of fans awaited.
As Dick prepared to get into an Uber, Dylan said Dick was ‘sucker punched’ by the attacker.

As he fell to the ground, Dick hit a motorcycle and struck his head on the pavement.
Dylan and Dick were scheduled to perform at another venue, but had to cancel that appearance.
On Sunday, Dick appeared in a wheelchair at a concert at the Art Garage in the Marigny at 10pm.
A criminal complaint has been filed.
NOPD said in a statement: ‘After attempting to meet with the victim in this incident, NOPD remains eager to speak with him and will do so when he decides to make himself available to detectives.’

He was ushered off-stage during a performance for exposing his genitals in 2005, and has faced charges of sexual battery and drug possession over the years.

Dick and Ivanka were both appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live at the time of the inicident, with the first daughter coming on as the second guest.
She was greeted by Dick, who asked Ivanka for a ‘big, wet kiss’ right off the bat Kimmel later told Extra.
Things then quickly went downhill with Dick rubbing his hands up and down Ivanka’s thigh and knee while she tried to stop the unwanted touching as politely as possible.
Kimmel, to his credit, swooped in to stop Dick from touching Ivanka and then continued the interview.
It was less than a minute later than Dick struck again however, first trying to grab at Ivanka’s ponytail and then touching her arm.
That is when Kimmel got out of his chair and went over to Dick while summoning security to join him on stage.
He and a security guard then lifted Dick off the couch and dragged him off the stage.
