The moment Dave Grohl’s ex Louise Post accused him of cheating with Winona Ryder on-stage in Australia and details of his wild arrest Down Under resurface – as he admits to fathering a secret baby

The wild moment Dave Grohl’s ex-girlfriend Louise Post accused him of cheating on-stage in Australia has resurfaced after the Foo Fighters frontman admitted to cheating on his wife Jordyn Blum and fathering a secret baby girl this week.

The rock star, 55, shocked his fans on Tuesday when he revealed on Instagram that he recently welcomed a daughter outside of his marriage to his wife of 21 years.

Dave’s ex-girlfriend Louise, 57, drunkenly accused him of cheating on her on-stage in the 90s.

The rocker was linked to Veruca Salt singer Louise after the end of his marriage to his first wife Jennifer Youngblood in 1997, when he admitted to infidelity.

However, after around year of dating, their relationship came to an explosive end with Louise accusing Dave of cheating on stage during a show in Melbourne.

Louise publicly railed against Dave as she boldly claimed he had cheated on her with actress Winona Ryder, which he has denied.

According to reports, Louise later said she was drunk at the time but didn’t take back her allegations, admitting she was ‘publicly falling apart’ during her Aussie tour.

Despite the tumultuous split, Louise and Dave are now friends and she has addressed speculation that their split inspired lyrics on her 2000 album Resolver.

‘People definitely read things into my songs. In interviews, any mention of him pi**es me off,’ Louise told the Sydney Morning Herald.

‘It was a private relationship, but it got so much publicity. I didn’t mean for it to happen. I’m friends with him now.’

The ‘dramatic’ Melbourne show also marked the beginning of the end for her band Veruca Salt, who broke up after she fell out with co-founder Nina Gordon not long after, though the pair went on to finally reconcile in 2015.

‘[Me and Nina] did have a big fight on stage in Melbourne,’ she told The Music in 2015. ‘I just found out my boyfriend at the time was cheating on me, so I was just publicly falling apart all over Australian stages.

‘Then, we went back to the States, and then Nina and I fell out, and went our separate ways. Despite all of that, I have only fond associations with Australia. Even that tour: it was crazy, it was wild, it was dramatic.’

As well as Louise’s infamous on-stage rant Down Under, Dave also had quite the wild visit to Australia himself in 2000, which resulted in him getting arrested.

The ’embarrassing’ incident came when the rocker did ‘shots’ at Sea World while visiting the Gold Coast to perform at the Big Day Out festival in his early fame.

After renting a moped to do some sightseeing, Dave was pulled over at an RBT checkpoint while returning to his hotel and blew a blood alcohol level of 0.95.

In Australia, it is an offence to drive or operate a vehicle with a blood alcohol of over 0.05.

Dave was convicted and given a $400 fine when he returned to face court during the Foo Fighters’ Australian tour, and he has since reflected on the incident.

While performing at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium in December, Dave told fans how his arrest came after he had been drinking ‘shots’ during a day out sightseeing.

‘I was on one of those Big Day Out tours. I was on a scooter that I ran to the Gold Coast, so I can go to Sea World and drink f***ing blue shots,’ he said while on stage.

‘I was supposed to be on vacation but I spent that s**t in a f***ing jail cell with a dude in a Primus T-shirt who wouldn’t stop snoring.’

Dave revealed his cellmates were huge fans of his music and they all made friends during the wild twist in his Australian vacation.

‘Everybody in the jail was like, ‘Alright Dave!’ We were on tour with Nine Inch Nails and Primal Scream and I’m the one that gets f***ing thrown in jail. That is bulls**t,’ he quipped.

In 2021, Dave also described the incident as ’embarrassing’ and said he has to declare the arrest on his travel declaration form every time he enters the country.

‘I still answer for that every time I come down; every time I have to tick that f****ing box,’ he shared in his memoir The Storyteller: Tales Of Life And Music.

‘They pull me aside at the airport and I have to tell them the story and they laugh, and then I go and pick up my bag. It’s f***ing embarrassing.’

‘I got thrown in jail for being drunk on a scooter; that was fun. Ah, the memories. Those were the days. It’s not a bad life,’ Dave shared in 2019.

Dave first toured Down Under in 1992 with his former rock band Nirvana and has since been visiting the country regularly since 1995 with the Foo Fighters.

Dave and his Nirvana bandmates Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic famously performed in a Sydney pub in 1992, before they reached huge global fame.

The group took to the stage for a wild performance in front of around 2,000 fans at the Coogee Bay Hotel just four weeks after shooting to No.1 in the US album charts for the first time.

Dave has since described Australia as his ‘home away from home’ and one of his ‘favourite f**king places’ in the world after 30 years of touring the globe.

His resurfaced comments come after Dave admitted to cheating on his wife of 21 years Jordyn, 48, and fathering a secret baby girl on Instagram on Tuesday.

A statement read: ‘I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.

‘I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.

‘We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.’

Dave and Jordyn met in 2001 and have been married since 2003, sharing three daughters – Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.

His two eldest children have deleted their Instagram accounts following their father’s announcement.

While little is known about his second wife, Jordyn was reportedly working as a producer at MTV when she met the musician.

Jordyn has collaborated with the Foo Fighters several times, making an appearance in the band’s 2002 video White Limo and co-directing their 2002 music video, Walking a Line.

Dave divorced his first wife Jennifer Leigh Youngblood in 1997 after admitting to cheating during their three-year marriage.

He previously said of the union: ‘I was 25, my wife was even younger. We weren’t ready to get married. I miss her a ton, she’s the funniest goddamn weirdo you ever met in your life.

‘Absolutely adorable. It would have been better had we not got married. But you live and you learn.’

Dave has previously hinted that the Foo Fighters’ hit track Everlong was inspired by his first wife.

He shared: ‘I was breaking up with a girl that I had been with for a while, so I was sort of in the middle of this intense emotional period.

‘And for whatever reason, the emotion or the feeling I got when I would play this succession of chords sort of touched on whatever emotion that was.

‘So because of the emotional place I was in I started writing the lyrics to this song and they come from a real place.’

Foo Fighters’ first single This Is A Call was written during the couple’s 1994 honeymoon in Dublin, Ireland.

Dave met his second wife Jordyn at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in West Hollywood in 2001  and they tied the knot at their LA home on August 2, 2003.

The musician, who has often been described as a ‘family man’, has spoken about the importance of his family in interviews throughout the years.
