Switzerland is referred to as the ‘Paradise on Earth’. It is home to numerous breathtaking and picturesque tourist spots and is beautiful beyond description. This article will take you through some of the dreamiest places in Switzerland.

Lake Lucerne

One of the most magnificent and soothing lakes in the entire world is Lake Lucerne. It is famous worldwide and has been visited by various noted personalities like Winston Churchill, Queen Victoria, etc. It is popularly known as the four-forest lake.

This is because the four Waldstetten- Uri, Schwyz, Unterwalden and Lucerne surround this lake. Lake Lucerne consists of many adventurous and beautiful spots to visit and explore. Some of these destinations are given below:

Hinterbergen – Hinterbergen offers you a splendid view of Lake Lucerne and the Swiss Alps from the top. You can reach the top of Hinterbergen via a gondola. Also, there are several hiking options available to different hills which offers an adventurous experience.

Greppen – ‘Small but nice’ is what best describes Greppen. It can be reached by bus, boat rides and you can even swim there.

Bauen – Bauen is a beautiful village located at Lake Lucerne. It can be reached by car or boat and has some beautiful dwellings, hotels, etc. Bauen is known for its fine dining with hotels like Schiller that exhibit great hospitality. You can also stay at these hotels. Apart from this, you can even hike or swim here.

Seelisberg– This place is a gateway to the origin of Switzerland- Rutli. You can hike to this place and then return by boat. Also, it is home to the beautiful lake Seeli which attracts a lot of visitors.

Morschach-Sisikon – This is one of the dreamiest places on Lake Lucerne. It is a delight for tourists, photographers as it offers the most amazing view over the Swiss lake. Davos, Switzerland

Apart from its exemplary beauty, Switzerland is also famous for hiking and adventurous activities. Davos Switzerland is home to some exciting adventurous expeditions. Some of these include:

Davos Sertig & Waterfall – It is a small village located at some height from Davos and can be reached by bus. It has some amazing restaurants for Gourmet lovers. Also, it offers some amazing hikes to Grison Alps, Lais-da-Ravais-ch lakes, etc.

Davos Monstein – It is home to the highest brewery in Europe and also consists of several local gifting shops. Being the second Walser village, it offers a hike to the next one- Oberalp.

From Davos Switzerland to Arosa – It is one of the most challenging yet prestigious hikes. The Strelapass hike is 19 km long and takes roughly around 6 hours.

Some other famous hiking spots from Davos would include Weissfluh, Silvretta Glacier, Schmitten, Royal Blue Mountain lakes, etc.
