Clayton Echard is reportedly going to be the next Bachelor. 

Echard was seen surrounded by camera crews in his town of Eureka, Missouri, per E! News, leading many to think he was up for ABC dating’ show’s lead role.

The 28-year-old orthopedic sales representative reportedly won over producers as a suitor on Bachelorette Michelle Young’s season, according to Variety.

The Bachelor typically premiere in January and insiders dished that production could be starting as soon as this month.

Clayton seems like a regular Joe, unlike past Bachelors who have had pasts as athletes or entertainers. 

As of Wednesday, he had a mere 4677 followers on his personal Instagram.

According to E! News, before his current career he was a collegiate football player and ‘former freestyle rapper.’ 

Bachelor spoiler source Reality Steve backed up the reports, saying: ‘We’ve seen them in the past shoot intro videos for people who didn’t end up getting the lead role, but based on last weeks news, and now these pics, looks like Clayton Echard is going to be the next Bachelor.’

Greg Grippo, a frontrunner from Katie Thurston’s season, was also said to be in consideration, but reportedly fell out of favor after he became the subject of negative headlines following his final episode last month.

He was also accused of being an actor who was ‘not there for the right reason.’

Producers also reportedly met with ‘other suitors from Thurston’s season and also the current of Bachelor In Paradise’ before settling on Echard.

Miss Young’s season began shooting in late July and is set to premiere Tuesday, October 19th.

Michelle’s upcoming season was reportedly filmed at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa near Palm Springs, California as well as the Marquette Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The elementary school teacher said she was thrilled to find love on the small screen, telling people: ‘I am ready.
