Inspirational burns survivor and new mother, Turia Pitt, recently revealed how she makes motherhood work despite the demands of a busy life.
The 30-year-old author welcomed her little boy Hakavai with her partner Michael Hoskin in December and has since relished every moment with her adorable son.
In a newsletter published on Thursday, Turia wrote that like any mother she too has struggled balancing the demands of a busy life along with new parenthood.
But she has one ‘hack’ that might help you if you’re struggling to fit it all in.

The athlete explained she how she’s started using a productivity hack – one developed by time management guru Tim Ferris – to help take the stress out of her day.
She said by focusing her energy on the things that actually count, she’s was able to ‘overcome overwhelm’.
‘Instead of setting out to achieve ten things each day, I’ve found that I can only aim to achieve three. Maximum three,’ she wrote in her newsletter.

‘If I can achieve just ONE thing from that list, I fee like the day has been a win.’
It’s something the athlete said she swears by whenever life, and her scheduling, is starting to feel like it’s spiraling out of control
‘Be it because of a newborn baby, a busy time at work, or just those times when life feels insane,’ she outlined.
The new mother said even when things don’t go to plan she always makes sure she priortises something that’s good for her
The young mother added given new parenthood is unpredictable she also makes sure she schedules in something that supports her wellbeing.
‘If everything goes to s*** (quite literally, haha!) I prioritise something that makes me feel good.’
Although Turia couldn’t be more smitten with her adorable boy, she’s also spoken candidly about how parenting comes with its own share of struggles.

‘Parenting is hard,’ she wrote in a previous Instagram post.
‘I’ve got a baby that sleeps, a supportive partner, parents and in-laws on speed dial, heaps of mates who’ve had babies and I’m still finding it really challenging and exhausting.
‘To all the parents out there, you’re all legends, and you’re all doing a good job!!!’.
