The Project hosts HOWL over Gwyneth Paltrow’s annual Goop Holiday Gift Guide – which includes a special bag for watermelons and a lamp made out of bread
Gwyneth Paltrow’s annual Goop Holiday Gift Guide has raised eyebrows once again thanks to its curated collection of bizarre merchandise.
And there was nobody more amused with the unusual items than the hosts of The Project, Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar.
On Monday, the trio dissolved into a fit of hysterics as they learnt the Hollywood star was selling a lamp made out of bread, a special bag to store watermelons and a speaker to listen to plants.
‘It’s as wacky as ever!’ The Project’s Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar dissolved into a fit of hysterics over Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow’s 2020 Goop Holiday Gift Guide
Carrie began by saying: ‘Not even 2020 can stop Gwyneth Paltrow. The annual Goop gift guide is out, and no surprise, it’s as wacky as ever.
‘Highlights include a lamp made of bread, a $38,000 mattress, and a special bag to hold your watermelon – price on request!’
Peter hilariously responded: ‘I think I’ll carry my watermelons by hand’.

Carrie added: ‘Oh, there’s so many more fun things. There is a birthing chair, a $7,500 one that can just be used around the home, so it’s multi-purpose.’
Poking fun at the woman dressed in designer garbs while pretending to give birth in the promotional image for the birthing chair, Pete quizzed: ‘Don’t you have to take your pants off when giving birth?’
Carrie quipped back: ‘That’s what I looked like!’
Carrie amused: ‘Highlights include a lamp made of bread, a $38,000 mattress, and a special bag to hold your watermelon – price on request!’
She continued: ‘There’s a speaker where you can hear your plants because they talk to us and we don’t get to hear them!’
The hosts once again burst out laughing as they struggled to make sense of the peculiar and unnecessary items on sale by the Oscar-winner’s lifestyle brand, Goop.
Other items on sale include a vulva colouring book, a self-heating concrete bathtub and a standalone garden structure called a Studypod.
