The Project’s Sarah Harris cuts a casual figure as she picks up home renovation supplies in Sydney

The Project host Sarah Harris cut a casual figure as she stepped out on Sunday to pick up some renovation supplies.

The 43-year-old looked ready for a day on the tools as she hit the streets for her weekend shopping expedition.

Sarah wore a black jumper with the word ‘lover’ emblazoned across the front as she purchased supplies from a store in Sydney.

She finished her ensemble with black sports tights and a pair of black sneakers.

Sarah kept her hair tied back and sheltered from the wind under a similarly coloured New York Yankees baseball cap.

It appeared that the TV host was preparing to spend her weekend hard at work on a home renovation project.

A quick trip to the local hardware store proved successful, with Sarah spotted in the street carrying her shopping haul.

She picked up a broom, some timber varnish and paint brushes, suggesting she was planning on painting a small project.

The sighting comes after Sarah recently admitted on The Project that she once dropped her mic down the toilet,  just seconds before she was due live on air.

‘I have dropped my mic in the toilet, this was minutes before the very first time I filled in for the queen, Sandra Sully, and read the news in Sydney,’ Sarah explained.

‘I had five minutes to use the bathroom and had these mic packs on and racing to do the last nervous wee before the bulletin,’ she went on.

‘I popped my pants down and heard a plop, plop,’ Sarah said, realising in horror she had dropped her mic pack into the loo.

‘I wrapped it in toilet paper, lifted my pants back up, didn’t zip up and ran out.’

Her crew was less than impressed, and she explained: ‘Audio is yelling at me. I ask, “Can I put this in rice or something?” They said you have to wing it.’

Luckily, it worked out for Sarah and the live cross went ahead as planned despite her panic.

Sarah also left her Project co-stars red-faced in May after sharing a rather risqué tidbit.

Following a segment on Telstra sacking 2,800 workers in favour of using AI, Kate Langbroek joked that soon robots will be doing everything for humans.

‘You’ll come home and find a female robot in bed with your husband!’ she quipped.

‘I don’t have a husband!’ Sarah replied, with Kate clarifying, ‘You’ll get a robot husband!’

‘I pretty much do,’ Sarah joked back, with a stunned Kate catching on seconds later, crying out, ‘Oh! Oh! Wow’.

‘Well, it’s not a robot, but it is USB powered,’ Sarah ploughed on, seemingly referring to a sex toy.

Laughter and shock erupted among her co-stars, with Waleed Aly piping up, ‘Is that in case we missed it the first time?’
