‘The thing about it is you don’t know where it’s going to end and they explain nothing … you’re just in this situation, you don’t know why, the power imbalance is horrific and you have no idea where it is going,’ he said.
A visibly distraught Aly made the recollection after a segment aired on the Channel 10 talk show about NSW police and the number of searches they had performed.
According to the program, searches had doubled in the years 2016-17.
Among the strip searches are claims children as young as 11 have been involved.
The startling revelation has jump-started an inquiry from the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission.
Aly chatted with activist Rachel Evans about her own experience at the hands of authorities.
The host then went on to say he shared a similar experience.
While he admitted the strip search wasn’t as thorough as Ms Evans, he had had to strip down and remove his pants in front of authorities.
He would not give any detail on when the strip search in Israel happened.
