The reason Taylor Swift isn’t attending Travis Kelce’s Chiefs vs Raiders game

Taylor Swift won’t be in attendance at boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.

Instead, the 34-year-old music sensation will be in New Orleans performing the final night of three Eras tour shows, two of which were attended by friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

Last week Swift missed out on her boyfriend’s game as she was in Miami for her Eras Tour. She’ll have to miss another game on December 8 – her stop in Vancouver, Canada falls on the same day Kelce is scheduled to play in Kansas City.

Saturday night’s performance featured a surprise guest appearance from Sabrina Carpenter. She previously opened for Swift in summer 2023 in Mexico City.

Taylor received a warm welcome in Louisiana ahead of her three-night residency, which kicked off Friday.

The Karma hitmaker and her fandom, dubbed Swifties, stay connected through friendship bracelets.

To commemorate the ongoing theme, the New Orleans superdome has been adorned with a giant friendship bracelet reading: ‘Taylor Swift, The Eras Tour.’

Swift has been dating Kelce for more than a year and she first opened up publicly about their relationship in a 2023 interview as Time’s Person of the Year.

At the time, she described herself and her boyfriend as ‘just two people supporting each other doing what we love.’

The one-year anniversary of the singer’s first Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium was on September 24.

And Travis has supported his megastar girlfriend by attending a host of her Eras shows, and he even made a cameo on stage in London in June.

Earlier this year designer Christian Louboutin shared that he made more than 250 pairs of shoes for the production of the Eras Tour.

Chatting with Vogue, the footwear architect dished, ‘When working for performers, it’s better to start with a very large number of styles that will end up in a selection of designs which seem the best for the stage.’

It was also shared that he dreamed up 60 new pairs of shoes for the pop star to take on the European leg of her successful tour.

Hundreds of strass crystals were used in the collection and Louboutin noted, ‘I’ve learned a few magic tricks to make sure the silhouette still looks great with shoes being 100% easy to perform in.’

Swift introduced a new section of her concert in early May, after releasing her The Tortured Poets Department album in April.

Along with the addition of songs came new footwear, including a custom pair of booties inspired by archival Louboutin styles.

‘Joseph Cassell and Taylor were very instrumental in communicating all the different acts and having shoes that reflect the genre she wore then with an updated modern twist,’ Louboutin shared.
