But seconds after applying Bar Keepers Friend, an $8 product from the US, the cleaner was able to wash the rust away.

Kacie shared a video showing the thick lines of rust on the floor of the shower and how quickly they disappeared after a quick scrub with the product.

  1. First, she wet the shower floor before sprinkling the cleaning product on top.
  2. She then scrubbed it lightly with a narrow brush before washing it away.
  3. And while the cleaner recommends the product for stubborn stains she doesn’t do so without caution.

‘It also works really well on old pots, but it’s a product you don’t want to use all the time or get on your skin,’ she said.

And her followers were quick to thank her for the tip.

‘I have minor stains forming near my laundry sink. Was wondering how to get rid of them, thanks,’ one woman said.

‘Ever since you introduced me to BKF my life has been transformed. I’ve been able to restore so many rusted appliances, hardware, and wire furniture with it! Bless ye,’ said another.

The cleaner says she sees rust stains ‘all the time’ – especially in laundries where the washing machine sits directly on tiles.

The simple-to-follow video quickly went viral and has been seen by more than 67,400 people.
