The tear-jerking letter the son of an Aussie chef and American actress wrote to his parents after they were forced to evacuate their home during the deadly LA wildfires

Curtis Stone and Lindsay Price shared the emotional letter their son gave them after they were forced to evacuate their home amid the horrific Los Angeles wildfires.

At least 70,000 people have been evacuated since a wildlife started ripping through the ritzy Pacific Palisades neighbourhood on Tuesday, with over 1,000 buildings destroyed.

A huge list of celebrity mansions were destroyed amid the deadly blazes, including the properties of Antony Hopkins, Billy Crystal, Anna Faris and Paris Hilton.

Now, Australian chef Curtis, 49, and his American actress wife Lindsay, 48, have revealed that they were among those evacuated from Palisades.

Lindsay took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday night to confirm that she and Curtis had been evacuated with their two sons Hudson, 14, and Emerson, 10.

Though she didn’t give an update on their home, Lindsay shared a photograph of the tear-jerking letter her youngest son Emerson wrote her after they got to safety.

In the heart-wrenching letter, the youngster sweetly thanked his mother for staying calm in the ‘huge crisis’ and for collecting their belongings amid the evacuation.

‘Dear Mom, even in a huge crisis where it’s life or death somehow you could stay calm and get all our important stuff,’ the letter read.

‘I know you’re scared but everything will be alright, thank you!

‘Thank you for thinking of me and being there for me when I wasn’t there. You rock!

‘You complete my soul and I love you so much. You are the best. Love, Emerson.’

In another post, Lindsay – best known for Beverly Hills, 90210 – said she and her family were ‘safe’ but didn’t give an update on the condition of their family home.

‘Thanks for all the love and care. We evacuated yesterday and are safe. Praying for our beloved neighbourhood of Palisades and all of LA,’ she penned.

‘Share your grace with each other.’

Lindsay and Curtis own a five-bedroom mansion in LA, which they purchased for $10.6million in 2018.

They also own a sprawling ranch called Four Stones Farm in Malibu Canyon, which lies around a 50-minute drive from the fire-stricken Pacific Palisades area.

They bought the property, which lies on 60 acres of land, back in August 2021 with Curtis then transforming it into a functioning farm and winery.

The Pacific Palisades neighbourhood has been devastated by ongoing wildfires that have become the most destructive in the state’s history.

The homes of Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Anna Faris and James Woods, and Miles and Keleigh Teller are among those confirmed to have been destroyed.

Paris Hilton’s beachfront mansion in Malibu was also razed as the fires spread at an unprecedented rate and reached Malibu on Tuesday night.

Similarly, actress Anna Faris’ $5million eco-friendly abode was totally decimated by the blaze.

The home where Friends star Matthew Perry tragically died is within the destroyed evacuation zone of Pacific Palisades, according to Realtor.com.

Ben Affleck also raced to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home after being evacuated from the devastating California wildfires.

Dozens of other stars are also facing an anxious wait alongside their neighbours to learn if anything could be saved from their properties.

Hellish fire started tearing through Pacific Palisades on Tuesday, rapidly spreading to surrounding suburbs as a windstorm carried embers and debris in all directions.

Residents fled and waited with bated breath to learn more about their homes, as news circulated that entire streets had been wiped off the map, firefighters were running out of water, and resources were being diverted to fight the fire on multiple fronts.

Firefighters have conceded that they remain powerless to contain the flames because of strong winds.

LA’s fire chief said on Wednesday that the fires have left at least five dead, as well as many ‘significant injuries’.

At least 70,000 people have so far been ordered to evacuate — a number that keeps changing as evacuation orders are continually being issued, officials said.
