The Traitors’ Ash is banished after Paul and Harry turned on her as fans say she ‘only has herself to blame’

Tensions were high on Wednesday’s episode of The Traitors as Ash was banished from the game.

The events coordinator, 45, saw her game come to an end after her fellow traitor Brian was also eliminated from the show.

Saying goodbye to the remaining contestants, she said: ‘I want to say you are an absolutely magnificent group of people. It’s been an honour and a privilege.’

Viewers will have to wait until the next episode to see the reaction of the other cast members to her exit.

Ash’s banishment came after she confronted Paul and Henry for turning on her in front of the faithfuls.

Although it was Brian who was sent home first, Ash discovered the pair had both voted for her to leave and burst into tears.

Facing them, she said: ‘I’m very f*****g p****d off at both of you. This early on in the game we need to be a team if traitors are going to win.’

Trying to explain himself, Paul said: ‘Two reasons, my whole narrative is that bigger personalities are getting voted off.

‘When it come to final three, Brian isn’t in that category, Diane isn’t in that category. You did contradict yourself. I thought people I’ve got onside will think why did he flip over to Brian?’

Harry added: ‘I genuinely think Brian was setting himself a trap, to throw anyone off and I’m so happy you are still here.’

Viewers took to X to react to Ash’s banishment with one writing: ‘Ash let those men dictate her game for her and now she’s banished. A shame, she wasn’t there to play HER game.’

Another wrote: ‘Ash wasn’t a great gameplayer, she really fumbled by not clocking Paul and Harry after they snaked her. She should have strategised with Miles and not volunteered herself to be banished. Way too obvious.’

A third penned: ‘The Traitors made an absolute mess of that for themselves tonight. Condemned the wrong people.

‘Andrew saved means only Meg can be murdered, who’d likely have been banished anyway at some point and Ash drew attention to herself.’

Another wrote: ‘Ash has only herself to blame for trusting the other two again. The dynamics of this season are a lot stronger than last year.’

The Traitors continues on Thursday on BBC One at 9pm.
