In an interview with Metro.co.uk, executive producers Sarah Fay and Toni Ireland have shared who they say is part of their ideal celebrity line-up.

Sarah told the publication: ‘I think we’d want people who are so invested in the game and want to play the game, and I think that’s what brings the drama so well.

‘I’d love to see Rylan [Clark], he’d be incredible, but also Kathy Burke is a fan. I mean Russell T Davies is a fan. I think I’d want very much a mixture of different types of celebs as well.’

Toni added: ‘To see Kathy Burke calling someone out at the roundtable could be pretty good.’

The US celebrity version of the show has been a hit, and the line-up has been just as good to match the fan expectations.

The Traitors US has seen Below Deck star Kate Chastain, Brandi Glanville from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Cody Calafiore from Big Brother, TV personality Rachel Reilly and Survivor competitor Stephanie LaGrossa and Cirie Fields.

And the UK series of The Traitors has seen the same success, and saw Aaron, Hannah and Meryl beat the traitors to be crowned winners.

In a recent interview, traitor Wilfred has advised future contestants to ‘make friends with each other’ and has revealed his paranoia during the show.

Finalists of the hit BBC One programme reunited with host Claudia Winkleman on her Christmas Eve Radio 2 programme where they discussed the dramatics of the new gameshow.

And the final Traitor Wilfred has offered his best tips for those taking part in potential future series’ of the successful show, including to try and combat trust issues by befriending other Traitors.

Speaking to Claudia last week, Wilfred said: ‘I’ve got some good advice. I’d say, Traitors – Make friends with each other.

‘What we did in the castle we didn’t even speak! We were so scared, and then we had trust issues!

‘And the thing is when I watch it back, I go, ‘Yeah I don’t know how the game ends, [Amanda] is going to steal, I don’t know what’s happening…’ and I got really paranoid.

‘It weren’t until I watched it back when I realised, she weren’t saying none of that!’

Kieran, who gave Wilfred a ‘parting gift’ as the second-to-last remaining Traitor, said he wouldn’t change a thing after switching from the role of Traitor to Faithful a few times.

‘I wouldn’t change anything, it was good to do a bit of everything but yeah, I’m still mentally scarred,’ he said on Radio 2. ‘I’m only joking!’

Speaking of her ignored suspicions that Wilfred was a traitor, Maddy was on the phone to tell her co-stars ‘I told you so’.

She describes feeling ‘gutted’ that she left the show when she did: ‘Gutted, you should have listened to me you guys. I told you so.

‘Maddy Marple strikes again. MI5 have definitely given me a ring!

‘It was good fun but it was traumatic. I worked it out in the end that he wasn’t the murderer.’

Finalist Hannah told of her feeling like she had ‘all the control’ during the tense scene by the firepit where they had to decide on voting someone out.

She admitted feeling worried that she would be risking Meryl and Aaron’s split of cash if she made the wrong call.

Hannah said: ‘I had absolutely no idea, when you look at Meryl and Aaron’s faces you just think, do I risk it?

‘At that firepit, I felt like I had all the control. I knew Meryl would just do anything I did. I knew Aaron would stick with us. It was a really weird moment because I never had that.’
