The Umbrella Academy trailer teases the fourth and final season starring Elliot Page as the series wraps up its run on Netflix

Netflix has released the new trailer for the final season of The Umbrella Academy, which debuts on August 8.

The series is set in a universe where – on October 1, 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth… though none of the women showed any signs of pregnancy.

Seven of the 43 children were adopted by billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreaves (Colm Feore), who, upon learning of their superhuman powers, formed The Umbrella Academy.

Now the show is coming to an end, with the final season showing the Hargreaves siblings all separate after their timeline was reset.

Now devoid of their powers, they are each left to their own human devices to survive, though they must come together one last time to stop a mysterious group known only as The Keepers.

The trailer begins as we see a sign for the Hargreaves Home for Wayward Boys, as the siblings including Vanya (Elliot Page) – the only one of Hargreaves’ adopted children without powers – go about their lives.

Over the footage we hear a speech from Reginald uttered early on in the hit show.

‘Our world is changing… has changed. There are some among us gifted with abilities far beyond the ordinary. I have adopted six such children. I give you the inaugural class of The Umbrella Academy,’ he says.

That speech concludes with the seven siblings all reluctantly posing for a picture taken by Luther (Tom Hopper).

They all reunite and get back into their van as Diego (David Castaneda) gets them psyched up as Ben (Justin H. Min) screams, ‘Let’s kill this b***h!’

‘This is a rescue mission,’ Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) reminds Ben, as the trailer segues into The Final Countdown by Europe.

Vanya admits they, ‘drive each other crazy, but when things go to hell, they’re there for me.’

The trailer winds down with a slew of random shots including the siblings showing off their supernatural powers.
