LeAnn Rimes has reportedly rubbed her fellow coaches on The Voice Australia the wrong way.
The Can’t Fight the Moonlight hitmaker, 42, has been making some unauthorised moves as a strategy to win the singing contest, which has both Guy Sebastian and Kate Miller-Heidke ‘pi**ed off.’
An insider on the production of the hit TV show made the revelations when they spoke to Yahoo Lifestyle over the weekend.
This season of the show has introduced a few format changes, and Rimes has been using them with gusto.
The new Ultimate Block move, which allows coaches to effectively force singers onto their teams, was used by the Coyote Ugly star in the very first episode.
And according to the insider, this and some other bold moves have annoyed Guy and Kate.
‘LeAnn was allowed to do whatever she wanted and some of her changes to the format have really pi**ed off Kate Miller-Heidke and Guy Sebastian,’ they said.
‘When people look back at this season, it will be obvious LeAnn was playing with a strategy all along. Guy and Kate didn’t really see the Coyote Ugly star being any real threat, but boy, were they wrong,’ the source added.

‘It has only been LeAnn who has been willing to pull moves that step outside the rule book.’
Meanwhile, another source on the production said, ‘You let some things go, but you go hard when it is important.’
It comes as a contestant from the singing show has shockingly claimed that working with the A-list coaches is far from the glitz and glamour that fans expect.

An aspiring singer from the 2024 series shared their disillusionment with the behind-the-scenes experience ahead of the talent competition’s semi-final
They claimed the coaching from the celebrity judges – LeAnn Rimes, Kate Miller Heidke, Adam Lambert and Guy Sebastian – is more of a façade than genuine mentorship.
‘They sell you this dream of being mentored by these huge names, but honestly, it felt so shallow,’ they confessed to Yahoo Lifestyle on Monday.
‘The coaches barely have time for you. It’s like they’re playing a role on TV and don’t really connect with you.’
The anonymous contestant went on to allege that their experience wasn’t unique but something that all the singers had to deal with.
‘I thought it was just because my coach was an international artist, but everyone I spoke to had the same experience. It was all quite contrived,’ they added.
