The Voice star Lachie Gill reveals the X-rated quip host Sonia Kruger made about her figure on set: ‘She had a very short dress on’

Sonia Kruger left a contestant from The Voice Australia red faced after making a rather X-rated quip on set.

The host of the singing competition made the comment to the 2022 winner, Lachie Gill.

The singer was bashful as he shared the anecdote on the ARIA red carpet this week when speaking to Yahoo.

‘It was something that Sonia Kruger said when she was on the show, and I don’t know if it’s PG if I can share it, but it’s stuck with me for a year and a half,’ he said.

‘She had a very short dress on and she said, ‘Both ends are smiling tonight’. And I was just shocked, but I worked out that was just Sonia, she loves it.’

It comes after the Big Brother host reportedly turned down the offer to front the new reboot of its raunchy Uncut series because she felt ‘uncomfortable’.

According to Woman’s Day, a source close to Sonia claimed that the 58-year-old managed to talk her way out of narrating the series, which sees full frontal nudity and unfiltered language air on the network at 8.30pm.

‘It really is off brand [for her]’ said the source. ‘She finds it all a bit uncomfortable to watch, never mind narrate.’

Big Brother Uncut premiered on Channel Seven’s streaming website, 7plus, 17 years after the X-rated series got pulled.

During the reboot’s premiere, the participants were filmed stripping down in the open showers.

The scene was a far cry from previous moments during the peak of Uncut in the 2000s, with the women mostly wearing bikinis or going topless and the men covering their modesty with a towel or their hands.

The original Big Brother, which previously aired at 9.30pm on Channel Ten, was often explicit, but Seven has touted the upcoming season as the ‘spiciest’ ever.

It looks like the network is going to live up the promise following the return of Big Brother Uncut.
