‘We’re brothers at the end of the day’: The Wanted’s Tom Parker says they will never lose their bond while Jay McGuiness brands him a ‘miracle maker’

Tom Parker has continued to heap praise onto his bandmates, likening them to his brothers.

The Wanted star, 33, whose stage four glioblastoma is now stable, appeared on BBC Breakfast on Monday with Max George, 33, Jay McGuiness, 31, Nathan Sykes, 28 and Siva Kaneswaran, 32.

The boy band released their first album in eight years, Most Wanted, last week and the members all sung from the same hymn sheet about their reunion.

Of their bond, father-of-two Tom said: ‘I don’t think you’ll ever lose that, we’re brothers at the end of the day. The boys have been an amazing support network for me.’

When presenter Dan Walker asked about his health, the star replied: ‘I feel really well. Happy to be present, happy to be here.’

The boys detailed their excitement for next year’s arena tour, with Jay branding Tom ‘a miracle maker’ for setting his sights on numerous ventures.

Nathan chimed in and agreed, reflecting on their comeback charity gig at The Royal Albert Hall back in September, the proceeds of which went to Stand Up To Cancer and The National Brain Appeal.

‘It was very powerful but it was conflicting emotion. It was an amazing experience but we know we all would rather not be in that situation.

‘He [Tom] is so inspiring,’ he said.

Later on during the interview, Tom explained that many people believed he was clear of cancer following his Channel 4 documentary Inside My Head.

He said: ‘Ultimately, I have still got cancer,’ yet insisted: ‘I don’t want people to treat me any differently.’

In an exclusive interview with MailOnline last week, Jay said: ‘Tom has always been an incredibly determined guy and this disease can often be very aggressive so his progress is nothing short of miraculous. We’re just so proud and relieved for him.’
