The Wiggles star Emma Watkins reveals her tragic loss

The Wiggles star Emma Watkins is mourning the loss of her beloved pet goat Dolce.

The 31-year-old children’s performer announced the heartbreaking news on Instagram on Thursday.

The flamed-haired professional dancer posted a throwback selfie with the sweet animal and wrote in the caption: ‘Rest In Peace my beautiful Dolce x’.

The beloved star received an outpouring of support from her fans, who commiserated how hard it is to lose a pet.

The sad news comes after she was also left heartbroken by the premature death of her other pet goat, Gigi, last year.

She bid Gigi farewell in a moving post shared to Instagram.

She told her fans: ‘I truly love goats. It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my little black goat who passed unexpectedly last week.

‘He was so young and had such a beautiful spirit… little one you will be missed xx’.

The singer went on to introduce fans to her new goat, Peaches, which she got to keep Dolce, company. 

‘My other goat Dolce was also heartbroken and so we had to search for a new friend and here she is, Peaches,’ she wrote.

She went so far as having goats take part in her wedding to ex-husband Lachy Gillespie in 2016.

‘We’re going to have some goats at the wedding… some baby goats in the garden,’ she said at the time.

Emma and Lachlan joined The Wiggles in 2013, started dating weeks later, married in 2016 and then announced their split in August 2018.

Emma currently lives in Ryde with her fiance fellow Wiggles musician Oliver Brian.

The couple announced their engagement back in April this year.

Emma shared the exciting news on her Instagram page while posing alongside her beau.

She captioned the picture with: ‘When life gets more sparkly’.

The performer shared further photos from the proposal to her Instagram Stories, revealing it had occurred in stunning countryside.

She showed off her sparkler in a number of images, including one where she cuddled up to her musician fiancé.

One image showed Emma posing alongside a pony, showing the animal her ring, which he captioned: ‘Approval from the locals’.

Emma confirmed her relationship with Oliver in an interview with The Daily Telegraph’s Stellar Magazine in December 2019.
