The Winter Ball: Bec Judd is compared to a witch

Bec Judd is criticised for her ‘over the top’ couture gown at The Winter Ball – while others compare her to a witch: ‘WTF is on your head?’

Bec Judd has been criticised over an elaborate outfit she wore to a charity ball over the weekend.

The AFL WAG, 40, ensured that all eyes were on her during the Two Sisters Foundation’s 2023 Winter Ball in Melbourne on Saturday where she looked like a snow princess as she arrived at the event in a sparkly white J’Aton Couture gown.

But not everyone was impressed with Bec’s over-the-top outfit, with fans taking to social media to express their displeasure – even comparing her to a witch.

Two Sisters Foundation was set up by Ellie Rogers and Lisa Bardas to raise funds for ovarian and breast cancer medical research. So far, they have raised over $2million.

‘Whilst (Bec) looks beautiful, my first reaction was to laugh at how completely over the top she looks to the point of being a touch ridiculous. I literally rolled my eyes at come of the pics I saw posted,’ wrote someone on Facebook.

‘Absolutely stunning, but honestly a bit over the top, it’s about the foundation not the attendees, do you think in time your grandkids would be proud to share this about,’ added one follower on Bec’s Instagram.

One of Bec’s adoring fans was quick to leap to her defence.

‘Disagree! Incredible dress! Incredible woman? Enjoy the beauty! Nothing is over the top when it’s pure art!’ they wrote.

But it wasn’t all sartorial smooth sailing. ‘WTF is on your head?’ wrote another.

Elsewhere, others compared her to Glinda the Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz.

‘Glenda [sic] the good witch xxx love,’ wrote one of her adoring fans, while another posted a gif of the iconic witch in action.

‘You look like Gilda [sic] the good witch from the wizard of Oz,’ wrote one more.

‘Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore,’ added another, continuing the theme.

Bec’s extravagant dress featured a plunging sheer neckline and had a silver sequin design decorating the sleeves.

The former model completed her look with a dramatic diamante headpiece which she placed on her long blonde wavy locks.

Rebecca also wore a full face of makeup consisting of dark eyeliner, face jewels and silver eyeshadow.

The WAG attended the event with her husband Chris Judd, who looked dapper in a black tuxedo and white buttoned shirt.
