The Winter Solstice 2017 will be the worst day of the year

The Winter Solstice is literally and figuratively going to be the darkest day of the year, and it’s all thanks to a rare cosmic incident that hasn’t occurred in over 350 years.

As if December hasn’t been crazy enough, what with the erratic weather and Mercury going into retrogade, it is, according to astrologers, only going to get worse, with December 21 predicted to be the most horrendous day yet of 2017.

Neil Spencer, an astrologer and author, revealed that this year’s Solstice is different from others in the past, because for the first time since 1664, the Sun will move into Capricorn, mere hours after Saturn makes the same exact shift; this will cause the sun and Saturn to actually line up, a phenomenon which is expected to have very uncomfortable consequences.

Stonehenge: The 2017 Winter Solstice on December 21, is predicted by astrologers to be the worst day of the entire year because for the first time since 1664 the sun and Saturn line up

‘In one’s personal horoscope, Saturn in Capricorn is a very useful placement, denoting one tough individual, but on a macro-level, it doesn’t promise much in the way of fruitful change,’ Neil explains.

He also advises to be wary on December 21 because anything you do on that day can feel more difficult than usual and starting something new can have ‘long-term consequences’ and ‘is ill advised.’

The Winter Solstice marks the darkest day and shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere due to the sun being at it’s most southern position, directly above the Tropic of Capricorn.

Astrology website Lunar Living, advised, ‘You may feel limited and constrained today, but do not let that feeling keep you from living up to your obligations.’

The site also shared that precautions should be taken on this day, ‘Take care of business, then you will be truly free to do as you wish. Your energy level may be low, but do not use this as an excuse for not doing your best.’

Also, when finding solutions to your problems, make sure that they’re in they best interest of everyone, not just yourself. ‘If your vision is only for yourself, what you create cannot last: it must be for some greater good,’ they continued.

As if these warnings weren’t scary enough, a post on the Feng Shui blog by Jayashree Bose, revealed its astrology predictions for this year’s Solstice, saying that December 21 will be troublesome and any important activity should be avoided at all costs.

The site even went on to say that any work you do on that day will be delayed and that you will face many different obstacles that will weigh you down till January 2018.

Bose warns of any actions taken on December 18, 21, and 30, saying, ‘Activities planned on these dates are bound to undergo last minute changes. In some cases, the event could get deferred for a month or even a year.

‘Avoid hosting meetings, whatever decisions you make will not be final, they will change. Avoid traveling on these dates, unless, you like spending your time waiting in airports, railway or bus station.’

Once Mercury goes direct on December 22, the Retrogade will finally end before 2018, but not until we all feel the wrath.

Due to Mercury’s ‘retroshade,’ the Mercury Retrograde shadow period that occurs two weeks before and after the backspin, the effects of the period will still be felt till the end of December.

Maybe it’s best if we all just stay inside with Netflix on December 21, to avoid all of the problems and complications that come with this year’s Winter Solstice.
