Remy Ma’s attorney says woman who claims rapper gave her a black eye is ‘interfering with the case by communicating with Ma’s adult stepdaughter’

The woman who claims rapper Remy Ma gave her a black eye is apparently interfering with the criminal case that deals with the alleged attack.
Ma’s lawyer, Dawn Florio, told a judge on Friday that Brittney Taylor has been communicating with Ma’s adult stepdaughter, Dejanae Mackie.
The harassment has been increasing, Florio said during a pre-trial hearing in Ma’s assault case.

Taylor, 27, did not report the alleged incident until two days later
Florio then promised to disclose the content of Taylor’s communications with prosecutors.
‘We are going to be providing screen shots and whatever other documentation to the DA’s office’, Florio said, referring to the instances of contact between Taylor and Mackie.
The lawyer then proceeded to go into detail outside the courtroom, stating: ‘Taylor has actively been calling my client’s daughter as well as tagging her on social media.’
Ma (real name is Remy Smith) is accused of assaulting Taylor at a concert in New York.
She and her close pal Fat Joe were performing at an Irving Plaza cancer benefit concert in April.

Taylor explained to the Daily News what happened after receiving a black eye in the scuffle.
She said the fight started when she and Ma had words involving Mackie, the daughter of Ma’s performer husband Papoose.
Taylor said she told Remy Ma that she ‘defended’ Mackie from an abusive man and that she ‘saved her life’ while they were hanging out in Miami.
‘She was like, ‘That’s not what I heard,’ and she punched me in the face,’ Taylor said.
Ma surrendered to authorities on May 1. She was charged with assault, aggravated harassment and harassment.
After Ma’s arrest, she was ordered not to have any contact with Taylor.
Florio is hoping authorities will drop the charges against Ma.
