Chicago has topped a list of the world’s best cities beating London, New York and Melbourne.
For the second time in a row, the windy city was named the number one place for having fun and enjoying city life in a study by Time Out.
Each year it releases its annual City Life Index, which scores places on categories such as food, drink, culture, friendliness, affordability and happiness.

And Chicago came out on top thanks to high scores for its food and drink scene, culture, affordability and city pride. The only area where it fell short was safety.
Coming in second was the Portuguese city of Porto, which was named the most liveable and heartwarming city, as well as being the best in the world for making friends and finding love.
Third place was New York, which scored highly in terms of nightlife and culture and was the city most people surveyed said they would want to visit this year.
Melbourne came in fourth and outranked all other cities for happiness and was praised for having a fantastic bar and food scene, with residents there exercising more than anywhere else.

And rounding off the top five is London, where 86 per cent of residents say there is always something to do or see.
Londoners were found to be passionate about theatre, rate the bar and food scene highly and love the nightlife, going out eight times a month.
James Manning, city life editor of Time Out, said: ‘This year’s Time Out City Life Index reveals the urban hotspots that are unbeatable right now, and the detailed results provide a fascinating look at how people make the most of city life in 2018.
‘Chicago, Porto, NYC, Melbourne and London are this year’s top five – a list that shows how different, diverse and unique great cities can be.
New York, pictured, was praised for its nightlife and the city that most people want to visit
‘They really should be on everyone’s travel bucket list for this year, along with many other cities in our global ranking.’
Meanwhile outside of the top five, many cities in the Time Out City Life Index have a number one claim to fame.
The best cities for culture are Paris, New York, Madrid, Chicago and London, but it is the people of Mexico City who soak up more culture than anywhere else.
They visit the theatre, cinema, art gallery or museum or see live music 76 times a year, followed by Barcelona (71 times) and Paris (69 times).
The study found that Parisians have the most sex with four in five having had sex in the past month, with the French capital also the world’s hangover capital.

Residents in UK cities (London, Manchester and Edinburgh) came in second with 24 hungover days.
The index also revealed that travellers looking for great gigs should visit Austin, the number one city for live music.
While those looking for affordable nights out should head to Portugal as going out costs an average of $37 (£26) in Porto and $46 (£32) in Lisbon, compared to $167 (£118) in Dubai and $184 (£130) in Zurich.
Elsewhere, Porto, Austin (each 22 minutes) and Philadelphia (24) have the quickest commutes, whereas six per cent of Beijing residents commute for two to three hours a day.
In Hong Kong, 75 per cent of people say the public transport is great, while 52 per cent of Miami residents hate theirs.
People living in London were named the most socialable, going out around eight times a month on average
The study also revealed that Washington DC has the most singles playing the dating game (two in five) and using dating apps (one in four in the last week).
However, they are also the most likely to ‘ghost’ a potential love interest (52 per cent), despite three in four looking up a date on social media before.
Meanwhile, Bangkok is the world’s street food capital with more people eating on their feet than anywhere else (42 times a year on average).
They are also the biggest restaurant-goers (94 per cent in the past week), followed by Tokyo, Hong Kong, Barcelona, Madrid and Miami.
