Prime Minister Theresa May looked full of Christmas cheer as she arrived for the morning church service at her local parish church in Sonning, Berkshire.

Sporting a warm red scarf against the drizzly morning rain and a pair of her blue trademark patterned shoes, she was accompanied by her husband Philip as they arrived at St Andrews Parish Church where Mrs May is a regular worshipper.

She was greeted by the Rev. Jamie Taylor and his ecclesiastic colleagues and gave a cheery broad smile as she turned to walk into the church and take her place in her favourite pew.

Dozens of other locals residents from Sonning where the PM lives arrived before her for the hour-long service to celebrate Christmas.

However, all was not cheery at the church after the Rev. Taylor spotted a vandal attack which was believed to have happened overnight.

He told Mrs May’s personal police guards that someone had thrown a stone through the beautiful stained glass window at the rear of St. Andrew’s, making a large hole which could clearly be seen from inside the church as the morning light streamed through.

It was believed the vandals struck at the church sometime over Christmas Eve in the evening and was guaranteed to have annoyed the Prime Minister who loves attending her local parish church, just a few hundred yards from her home.
