‘Theresa May’ unleashes ‘savage’ take down of Donald Trump

US comedy show Saturday Night Live gave ‘Theresa May’ a platform to carry on her war of words with Donald Trump this weekend.

The late night comedy show poked fun at the exchanges between the British Prime Minister and the US President, after Mrs May said that Trump was ‘wrong’ to have retweeted anti-Muslim propaganda from the far-right hate group Britain First.

Saturday Night Live capitalised on the awkward back-and-forth between the two world leaders, with cast member Kate McKinnon performing her best dead-pan ‘Maybot’ impression.

During a mock interview with fellow SNL star Colin Jost, ‘Theresa May’ said: ‘I saw Trump’s offensive retweets and I’ve put that man on blast.

‘Listen to this epic take down: “It is wrong for the president to have done this”.

‘Savage. Flaming emoji. I am practically a troll now.’

Colin Jost replied: ‘Right, but Donald Trump tweeted back at you and told you to back off?’

‘May’ retorts: ‘Yes, but the b**** tagged the wrong Theresa May. It’s internet 101, baby. Oh, its thrilling to engage in a flame war. To dunk on the thirsty b****. It’s electric, I am hard, I am actually hard.’

She adds that she is ‘not afraid of a little social media fisticuffs’ and fired warning shots at Kim Jong-un and Vladimir Putin.

The SNL sketch comes after the US President retweeted three videos from Britain First deputy leader Jayda Fransen, which has sparked outrage on both sides of the Atlantic.

Piers Morgan, who is one of just 45 people who Trump follows, urged Trump to delete the retweets and apologise.

The Good Morning Britain host tweeted: ‘Good morning, Mr President @realDonaldTrump – what the hell are you doing retweeting a bunch of unverified videos by Britain First, a bunch of disgustingly racist far-right extremists?

‘Please STOP this madness & undo your retweets.’

Fransen, 31, is currently facing prosecution for religiously aggravated harassment and a separate trial for using threatening and abusive language.
