Edward Leroy Wilson, 37, has admitted to stealing a Jeep parked outside a Walmart in Minneapolis
A Minnesota man has been arrested after her called the owner of a car he stole, asking her how to start it.
The owner of the car auto-started the vehicle from inside a Walmart in Minneapolis. When she came out, instead of finding her car warmed up it was gone.
Surveillance footage captured Edward Leroy Wilson, 37, driving away in a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee at 8.35pm on Monday night, according to KNSI.
At 10.30pm the owner received a call from Wilson, who was claiming to be a man named Wayne Hennen that worked for a glass repair shop.
Wilson said that he had taken the SUV and just completed work on it, but after he parked it, the Jeep wouldn’t start again.
He then allegedly asked her to call someone to get the car running so that he could return it.
