Thieves steal $500,000 of drugs from Tennessee Walgreens

  • Revlimid, Oxycodone, Oxycontin, Adderall are among the drugs missing
  • Three men forced their way into the pharmacy and a fourth drove them away
  • Surveillance camera shows them filling a trash can with pills 

Robbers have stolen $500,000 worth of prescription drugs from a branch of Walgreens in Memphis.

Three men broke forced their way into the Midtown branch of the pharmacy, the second time the store was hit in the space of a week.

Prescription drugs including Revlimid, Oxycodone, Oxycontin, Adderall, and Amphetamine were missing, employees told police.

Surveillance footage showed the three men getting out of a car driven by a fourth suspect and also shows them filling a trash can with pills.

The were seen inside the pharmacy for around two minutes before leaving through the front door.

Two of the suspects were wearing dark-colored hoodies and pants while a third was wearing a hoodie with an image of an assault rifle and ‘DEFEND’ written on the back.

Police said the front door glass was broken and a pill bottle was lying on the ground, outside the premises in 1400 block of Union Avenue in the city.

Officers discovered a wooden door leading to the main pharmacy was forced open and also found a crowbar on the floor with several drug cabinets broken into.
