The family of an Aussie tourist who died in a tragic motorbike crash in Bali will likely cremate his body.
Australian couple Thomas Cossins, 30, and Jasmine Sparreboom were on the holiday island to attend a friend’s wedding when they went out for a ride on Friday morning.
The couple had left Seminyak at about 6.30am to travel to Canggu where they met up with another rider, before they headed to the mountains near Gitgit.
Mr Cossins, an experienced bike rider, was in full riding gear and rounding a bend on a Kawasaki Ninja when he lost control and slammed into a concrete pillar at high speed.
Denpasar Wangaya Hospital spokesperson Ami Purnami said Mr Cossins’ body was taken to the morgue late Saturday night.
‘We are now still waiting for the family or consulate to take the body,’ they said.
It is understood the family is considering cremating Mr Cossins’ remains on Monday.
The update comes as horrifying footage of the aftermath of Mr Cossins’ crash emerged with his fiancée heard howling in anguish.

A bystander was seen rushing to move Mr Cossins away from his bike and checked if he was breathing or had a pulse.
As they realised the Aussie had passed, the man closed Mr Cossins’ eyes and laid his hands on his toso.
Ms Sparreboom, Mr Cossins’ fiancée, approached as the man began talking to the gathered crowd.
She was heard screaming ‘no, no, no’ and grabbed her partner’s leg while crying.
Ms Sparreboom shared a tribute to Mr Cossins on Saturday calling him ‘the love of my life, my soulmate, my fiancé, my best friend’.
She said the Queenslander who had recently moved with her to Sydney had shown her ‘real love, real compassion, strength and loyalty’.
‘You shine brighter than anyone I have ever met and I will forever be in your debt,’ she wrote.
‘You’ve shown me love I never knew existed and I will truly love you for the rest of my life.’
The distraught Ms Sparreboom added: ‘I will never forget you and I will do everything in my power to honour your brilliance. Fly high with your Mumma.’
The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed it is providing consular assistance to Mr Cossins’ family to get his body back home.
There has been support online for the heartfelt tribute Ms Sparreboom paid to her fiancé.
The tragedy occurred on Friday on the road from Denpasar to Singaraja, in Gitgit Village, Buleleng Regency

‘This brought me to tears. I could see how happy you were with Tom. Life can be so unfair. So deeply sorry,’ one person wrote.
‘Your kindness knew no bounds, and your sense of humour could brighten even the darkest of days,’ another friend posted to Instagram about Mr Cossins.
‘You’ll be deeply missed but your spirit will live on in the hearts of those lucky enough to know you.’
Mr Cossins was riding the sports bike when he lost control going downhill and around a curve, reportedly at high speed, according to local media, citing police.
‘The victim entered a ditch on the left side of the road and was crushed under the motorbike he was riding,’ Buleleng police spokesperson Gede Darma Diatmika was quoted as saying.
‘The victim suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the Parama Sidhi Singaraja Hospital,’ he said.
The latest tragedy follows that of Western Australian tradie Shane Ramsey, 30, who was visiting the Indonesian island for a wedding and riding a moped in Seminyak when he crashed into a roadside pole on Sunday, August 18.
He was not wearing a helmet and did not have travel insurance.

Mr Ramsey had been rushed to hospital where he underwent brain surgery and was in a coma.
His family paid $70,000 for him to undergo emergency neurosurgery and secured a medical evacuation flight, believed to cost around $150,000.
He was airlifted back to Perth but his heartbroken and loving family later turned off his life support after it was clear he would not recover from horrific head injuries sustained in the accident.
