Five casualties were taken to Harborview Medical Center, with two in a critical condition as of Sunday evening, the hospital told the Seattle Times.

Police said one of the victims was found in the pub’s parking lot, another in the curbside high-occupancy vehicle lane of the Pacific Highway, and a third in the Red Lion.

Police have urged witnesses to come forward and help identify the suspects. Detectives said witnesses were so far refusing to talk to police.

Spokesperson Sergeant Scott Oak said: ‘At this point, we are not 100 per cent sure the victims are related to the suspects.

‘We just know that everybody was here. It sounds like two people got into a dispute, and other people tried to intervene to stop that. And they may have been involved as victims. But we’re not sure yet. We’re still investigating.’

Oak said violence in South King County was ‘crazy… right now.’

‘Our resources are spread thin. We’re short staffed. So this sort of, this is just, it’s all too common. It seems like, anymore.’

He said there had previously been issues at the bar, which was recently taken over by new owners.

Natalia Silva, who was asleep at in the next door Red Lion Inn at the time, described the incident as ‘crazy’.

She said ‘everybody started screaming and people just started going crazy’ after the shots were fired. ‘It was like a war zone out here.’

Another hotel guest and witness Keith Rogers said his car was covered in blood after the shooting.

He added one of the victims sought refuge in the inn before being taken to hospital. He said the man was ‘alive when he left’ in an ambulance.
