Three women have been arrested on suspicion of stealing more than £1,000 worth of perfume after police discovered a ‘creatively adapted skirt bag’ hidden beneath their clothes.
Unusually, the homemade skirt bag was ‘glamorously modelled’ by a police officer following the arrests.

Hampshire Constabulary revealed the trio were arrested in the county’s cathedral city of Winchester after £1,300 worth of fragrances were stolen.
After the arrests, the force joked they were enjoying the ‘sweet smell of success’.
Posting online, its Response unit said: ‘Three women arrested this afternoon in Winchester after stealing £1.300 of fragrances with a creatively adapted skirt bag hidden under their clothes.’
