Thrifty shopper reveals her Aldi secrets – including $4 dishwasher tablets and $2 chocolate 

A thrifty shopper has shared her favourite budget buys from Aldi, including $4.29 dishwasher tablets, $2.69 white chocolate and eggs for $3.59.

The woman, who is known as ‘The Discount Mum’ online, said she is often asked about which Aldi products are worth your money – and these are among her ‘favourites’.

Everything she included was cheaper than other supermarkets and The Discount Mum revealed why she loved each and every item.

One of her top items was Logix 10-in-1 dishwasher tablets, which cost $4.29. 

The Discount Mum also said she loves Aldi’s Pre-Wash Stain Remover for just $1.25, which she described as ‘such a bargain and works so well’.

‘We love this and only $3.29,’ she wrote next to Aldi’s budget laundry powder, which comes in three different flavours.

‘They all do slightly different things. I think one is sensitive from memory. We love them all. I will use any.’

Elsewhere in cleaning products, The Discount Mum also said she also regularly buys the $1.59 dishwashing liquid, the $1.79 toilet blocks and even the store’s $3.99 reed diffusers.

But it wasn’t just cleaning products she is a fan of. There is plenty of food too.

She said her kids love Aldi’s $0.99 plain rice crackers and she has recently discovered their $1.99 strawberry jam.

‘$6.45 for only 500g the supermarket so a big saving,’ she wrote next to a picture of Aldi’s $5.99 product.

‘The best white chocolate EVER,’ she wrote next to a photo of Aldi’s Choceur chocolate, which costs $2.69.

She also loves Aldi’s $3.99 sultanas, their $1.39 salsa and the dry pasta range in general, which starts from just $0.89.
