Police are hunting a thug who bit off part of a 37-year-old man’s lip after a fight in a New York subway station.
The attacker confronted the victim at around 10pm on Saturday inside Utica Avenue No. 4 station in Brooklyn after seeing him chat up a woman on a train, according to the New York Police Department.
Their squabble escalated into a vicious fistfight which saw the assailant clench his teeth around his opponent’s lip, leaving it bleeding heavily.

Surveillance camera footage shows the attacker, wearing a light-blue denim shirt, white sneakers and a black backpack, starting to to square up to his opponent, who is in a dark top with white pants.

The two then move to the top of the stairs and continue to trade blows, before the biter appears to slam his opponent’s face onto the ground, splattering blood over the tiles.
Some onlookers can be heard shouting ‘break up’ and ‘calm down’ during the fight while others film with their phones.

Police are hunting the man, who is black, 35 to 45, 5-foot-11, 170 pounds and bald.
No more information is available about what prompted the fight and there have been no arrests.
