He was caught three days later and admitted to the armed robbery, telling police he hadn’t slept for two weeks, Nine News reported.
‘You attacked a vulnerable lone female while she was present at a busy shopping centre. She was entitled to be able to feel safe,’ Judge Irene Lawson said.
The court was told of his extensive rap sheet, which includes a jail sentence in 2016 for making threats to kill, assault, false imprisonment and animal cruelty.
‘In the past, I note that the courts have afforded you a degree of leniency,’ Judge Lawson said in sentencing.
Robinson was severely neglected as a child and began using drugs when he was just 10 years old, the court heard.
He was sentenced to three years behind bars, but could walk free in just seven months with time already served.
