The FA and UEFA have vowed to crack down on online ticket touts after it emerged some seats for next Saturday’s Champions League final at Wembley are being sold for as much as £67,000.
One resale website, footballticketnet.com, is offering ‘prime seats’ for the clash between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund for £50,000 plus a £17,000 booking fee. Another unauthorised reseller, livefootballtickets.com, is selling ‘Skybox’ hospitality tickets for an overall price of £34,255.
Touts are also cashing in on this weekend’s Wembley matches – Saturday’s FA Cup final and Sunday’s Championship play-off final.
For the Manchester derby on Saturday, Bobby Moore members seats are being offered on footballticketnet.com for £13,400 – £10,000 along with a £3,400 booking fee.
On the same site, some non-hospitality tickets are going for as much as £5,025 once the fee is included, almost 35 times the face value of a £145 category one seat.

The most expensive tickets listed for Sunday’s promotion decider between Leeds and Southampton are also on footballticketnet.com and are priced at £3,685 – £2,750 plus a £935 booking fee.
Stubhub.ie is selling the costliest non-hospitality tickets at £2,810 including the fee, more than 25 times the face value.
The unauthorised sale of football tickets is a criminal offence under UK law and the authorities have promised to act after being alerted to the situation by Mail Sport.
An FA spokesperson said: ‘We strongly advise fans to only purchase tickets for events at Wembley Stadium through the official channels.
‘Anyone found to have purchased tickets on the secondary market risks not being allowed into the stadium.
We also make every effort to trace and cancel tickets that are listed for sale on any unofficial channels.’
A UEFA spokesperson said: ‘All ticket holders are bound by the ticketing terms and conditions and UEFA will take action in case of any breaches.

‘UEFA urges all football fans to refrain from purchasing tickets or hospitality packages from unauthorised sellers, agents or websites, as such tickets may be counterfeit or invalid and an unaware purchaser may be refused admission to the stadium.’
An EFL spokesperson added: ‘The unauthorised sale of match tickets is not permitted.
Any ticket obtained or used which is in breach of the terms of entry will result in the cancellation of the ticket, ejection from the stadium and individuals could face legal action.’
