Tiffany Trump and her longtime boyfriend Ross Mechanic have been dating for nearly two years, but it appears as though their relationship may have hit a rough patch now that she is attending law school in Washington D.C. while he’s working in New York City.
The couple, who previously touted their relationship on their Instagram pages, hasn’t posted any images of themselves together since they parted ways in July after their weeks long European getaway — even when Tiffany, 23, was in New York for fashion week earlier this month.
Ross, 22, recently changed his public Instagram page to private, having gone several months without being seen in public with his other half, who has recently began studying at Georgetown University.

However, it is unclear if his decision to change the status of his account was motivated by a change in his relationship status or a desire to have more privacy while dealing with the fame and scrutiny that comes with dating the president’s youngest daughter.
Ross, a registered Democrat, started working as a data engineer at Cadre, the real estate start-up co-founded by Tiffany’s brother-in-law, Jared Kushner, in July.
While he was getting settled in his new job, Tiffany was enjoying a luxurious Italian vacation with her mother, Marla Maples, ahead of her first year at Georgetown’s law school.
When she finally returned to New York, she spent the month of August with her friends, including her longtime pal, designer Andrew Warren.

Tiffany shared photos of herself with Andrew in the Hamptons, and at one point she appeared to be spending the weekend at his home in Water Mill.
And while Ross attended New York Fashion Week shows with Tiffany last season, he wasn’t seen on her arm this time around.
Although Ross sat in the front row with Tiffany at the Taoray Wang show in February, the first daughter was seated between Andrew and controversial socialite Peter Brandt Jr. at the designer’s recent presentation.
Tiffany also made waves at the Philipp Plein show, wearing and edgy Philipp Plein dress featuring cutouts.

Andrew posted an Instagram photo of Tiffany out with him and their mutual friends Charlotte Bickley and Rebecca Chernyavsky that night, and she seemed to having a great time reunited with her friends.
Although its unclear if Tiffany and Ross are continuing their long distance romance, it is apparent that they are leading very different lives.

‘That was pretty cool,’ he captioned the image, and Tiffany soon commented on the snapshot.
‘A picture I never thought I would see of you haha,’ she wrote.
Tiffany and Ross started dating in 2015 after they met as students at University of Pennsylvania, and over the years he attended her college graduation, met both of her parents, and enjoyed numerous romantic getaways with her.
However, she is a year older than Ross, and they had to navigate a long-distance relationship while she was living in Manhattan and he was still in school in Philadelphia last year.
Despite the distance, Ross often found a way to be by Tiffany’s side. He attended the Republican National Convention to watch her speak in July 2016 and he visited the White House in April for the annual Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn.

In May, she headed back to her old campus to watch Ross graduate with a degree in computer science, and she proudly shared a photo of herself holding his hand while he was decked out in his cap and gown.
During their most recent — and possibly last trip together — the two headed to Europe, sharing plenty of photos of themselves posing at tourist destinations in Germany and Hungary.
The last picture Tiffany shared of them together was taken in Hungary; she has since posted images solely of her and her friends or her life at law school.
Tiffany’s most recent shared image is a snapshot of her school books and binder from August 28, and she proudly captioned the photo: ‘1st day of Law School #GeorgetownLaw.’
