A TikTok superstar grandad has revealed he gets ‘noticed on the streets’ after his wholesome dance routines with his granddaughter go viral. 

Kiera Hackett-Hall, from Kent, 17, and her grandad Frank, 77,  joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning to discuss his popular TikTok account which has more than seven million followers. 

Frank, who started his own TikTok account @grandadfrankk in 2019, said he was always ‘a performer.’

He said: ‘I was always kind of a performer, always singing and dancing so it was just natural to do it.’

Although he admitted when his granddaughter approached him about setting up an account he ‘didn’t know much about TikTok.’ 

When asked by Phill if he was ‘remotely embarrassed by it’, Frank, who is originally from Galway in Ireland quipped: ‘You’re joking aren’t you? Of course.’ 

About getting noticed on the streets Frank admitted: ‘I got a tap on the shoulder one day and someone said ”Are you grandad Frank?”, he was a complete stranger, and I said, “Yea how do you know?” and he said ”I follow you on TikTok”.

Asked by Holly who comes up with their TikTok ideas, Frank admitted it is his granddaughter. 

Kiera said: ‘At the time everyone was doing TikTok dances and in my head I was thinking I could get my grandad to do it.

‘When I got home I asked him could he do a dance and he did it and I asked his permission to post it and the audience loved it.’ 

‘We have always been so close to each other because we live next door to each other, so this brought us closer together.’

Franks TikTok account has over seven million followers and over 175 million likes. Some of his wholesome clips have racked up over 4 million view per video with many of his fans commenting on the viral videos

Kiera said: ‘I usually scroll through TikTok and look for trends and if I see something where I know pops can smash and see if he can practice it and he does it well every time.’ 

Franks TikTok account has over seven million followers and over 175 million likes.

Some of his wholesome clips have racked up over 4 million views per video with many of his fans commenting with encouragement on the viral clips. 

Kiera has nearly 100, 000 followers on her own TikTok account @kiera.dani and 740,000 likes.
