Time Magazine’s A Wrinkle in Time Cover Lipstick

The cast of A Wrinkle in Time is a diverse one, but on the latest cover of Time Magazine, Storm Reid, 14, Reese Witherspoon, 41, Oprah Winfrey, 63, and Mindy Kaling, 38, all wear the same shade of lipstick and all totally pull it off.

In the image, the actresses appear in black turtlenecks with their hair sleek and parted down the center and their lips painted in a rich fuchsia hue.

Fans are referring to the universally flattering make-up look as the ‘sisterhood of the traveling lipstick’ on social media.

After fans took to Instagram to plead with the four make-up artists who worked on the shoot to disclose the name of the magical lipstick used, we finally have some answers.

Though it appears that the stars are wearing identical hues, Molly R Stern, who worked with Reese for the cover, revealed to Femail that they are actually all wearing different products.

‘The photographer had requested that all the women be in a strong fuchsia red,’ Molly said. ‘All four make-up artists took to their kits and palettes to create the perfect color that matched each other and their clients’ skin tone.’

Nars Powermatte Lip Pigment in Give it Up ($26, narscosmetics.com)

Molly reached for Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick in the shade Ultra Violet (Reese is the brand’s ‘Storyteller in Chief’).

Make-up artist Mylah Morales, who created the look for Storm on set, said that she used Nars Powermatte Lip Pigment in Give it Up, also a bright fuchsia.

To ease into the bold tone, which we won’t be surprised to see become one of the biggest beauty trends of 2018, start by layering shades you already own.

‘For this look, putting down a rich red that you love as the base and then adding the hot pink on top can make the intense color feel more wearable,’ said Molly.
