Timothee Chalamet had a YouTube channel based off Xbox controllers when he was a teenager
Timothee Chalamet has opened up about a YouTube channel he once started focused on Xbox 360 controllers that were painted and modified for gamers.
The 25-year-old actor chat on Friday with Fortnite player Nate Hill in a joint interview with Dune co-star Zendaya, where he said that he presided over the the channel under the handle ModdedController360, which had three videos uploaded to it in 2010.
‘I actually had a YouTube channel people found,’ said the New York City native, who plays Paul Atreides in the new film Dune. ‘It’s YouTube.com backslash ModdedController360, and I used to paint-mod controllers.’

Among the controllers the future Call Me By Your Name star featured on his channel included a red one with black stripes, a blue and silver hybrid, and one with a Christmas theme.
In each clip, he opened up with the introduction, ‘What’s good YouTube, this is ModdedController360.’
Chalamet said he eventually got $10 for each controller, and had to move on from the hobby altogether after his parents complained about the mess he was making with the artistic endeavor.
‘My parents were like, “There’s spray paint all over the house, you can’t do this anymore,”‘ the actor said.

The actor was about 14-years-old at the time he uploaded the clips, which came about two years after he had made appearances in short films such as Sweet Tooth and Clown in 2008. He went onto appear on an episode of Law & Order in 2009.
After appearing on the shows Royal Pains and Homeland, Chalamet’s career on the silver screen picked up with the films Men, Women & Children and Worst Friends.
Chalamet’s breakout role came with the 2017 motion picture Call Me By Your Name, which garnered him an Oscar nod for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role the following year.
