Timothee Chalamet makes a mad dash on the streets of New York City while filming the movie Marty Supreme

Timothée Chalamet slipped into character on Monday as he filmed the upcoming biopic Marty Supreme.

The 28-year-old Dune star — who is dating Kylie Jenner — ran through the streets of New York City for a high-energy scene.

For his latest role, the Hollywood leading man sported a mustache and slicked-back hair with the sides cut short as he transformed into 1950s ping-pong player Marty Reisman.

Chalamet, who recently became an uncle, wore a white tank top underneath a light-colored button-up shirt.

He added belted gray slacks and carried a black leather satchel and wore thin-framed eyeglasses.

His look was rounded out with a pair of black footwear as he darted through the street.

The feature film from Josh Safdie is set within the ping-pong culture of the 1950s.

Timothée stars alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler the Creator and magician Penn Jillette.

The synopsis for the new film has not been released and IMDB states that the ‘plot is under wraps.’

However, it is thought to be a ‘fictionalized original, rather than a biopic’ on Marty’s life.

Marty, who died aged 82 in 2012, was an American ping pong icon.

The legendary player earned the title of the US Men’s singles champion in 1958 and 1960.

And in 1997 he became the United States hardbat champion.

Furthermore, Reisman won five bronze medals at the World Table Tennis Championships.

Overall, he scored 22 major table tennis titles from 1946 to 2002, including two United States Opens and a British Open.

He became the oldest player to ever win an open national competition in a racket sport when he won the 1997 United States National Hardbat Championship at age 67.

In addition to his ping-pong finesse, he was known for his flamboyant style which often included Borsalino fedoras and Panama hats.
