An adorable kitten was captured after it was spotted roaming the busy and treacherous Ted Williams Tunnel in Boston Sunday afternoon.

Massachusetts State Police said they found the kitten playing ‘a little hide and seek’ in the Route 90 Connector when they arrived to the scene after receiving multiple calls on the matter from concerned drivers.

It seemed the kitten suffered minor injuries from its highway adventure, and lost a significant amount of fur on its tail from what appeared to be a burn.

‘This ended purrrrrrrrrrrfectly,’ the police department wrote in a statement to its Facebook page Sunday.

‘Thank you for all the calls and especially to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, for their quick response and save,’ the statement read.

‘Sergeant Bob Dateo shut traffic down to enable the rescue of her.’

Police have asked the public for help in naming the kitten.

If an owner is not found, Animal Rescue will put the kitten up for adoption after medical screenings are completed.
