They’re the 90’s hip hop girl group who have earnt themselves five Grammy Awards over the course of their career.
And on Monday, TLC members Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins and Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas appeared on The Project to discuss their hit No Scrubs and the 19 years that have passed since it was released.
But when asked if they’d come across any ‘scrubs’ during their trip Down Under, it was co-host Peter Hellier who had to defend himself.
Sitting next a ‘scrub’? On Monday, TLC appeared on The Project where they insinuated co-host Peter Hellier was a scrub
‘Have you come across any scrubs in Australia?’ asked Peter, a question that caused a silent, knowing look from the two singers.
‘I’m not a scrub’, he quickly added in response.
Clearing the air, the artists then explained that ‘bad boys’ were everywhere.
‘No, no, not you. Scrubs, they’re like roaches, they’re everywhere!’ T-Boz responded.
Peter’s in the clear! ‘No, no, not you. Scrubs, they’re like roaches, they’re everywhere!’ added the TLC members
Taking the attention off himself, Peter than suggested that even the live studio-audience contained ‘scrubs’.
‘They’re in the audience, no doubt about that!’ he said.
And while the remarks left show watchers in fits of laughter, co-host Waleed Aly seemed concerned and wrapped up the segment.
They’re everywhere! Taking the attention off himself, the funny-man continued to say the live studio-audiences definitely consisted of scrubs as well
‘Alright, let’s not offend everybody,’ he said, seemingly unimpressed.
